Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They help us do things like keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the site. We also use similar technologies (such as local storage) for the same purposes.
We group the cookies and scripts we use into four categories. You can control which categories are active at any time using the button below, except for Necessary cookies, which the site cannot function without.
Cookie categories
Necessary
These cookies are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off. They include things like session management (keeping you signed in) and security tokens. They do not collect any information that could be used to identify or track you across other sites. No consent is required for these.
Functional
These cookies and scripts support features that make the site more useful but are not strictly essential.
- reCAPTCHA (Google): used on our early access form to detect bot submissions. Google's reCAPTCHA processes behavioural signals (such as mouse movement and timing) to produce a spam-protection score. This may set cookies on your device. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Brevo (formerly Sendinblue): used to deliver transactional emails and update notifications. Brevo may place a tracking pixel in emails to confirm delivery and open rates. See Brevo's Privacy Policy.
Analytics
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. The data is aggregated and not used to identify individual users.
- Google Analytics: tracks page views, session durations, and feature usage. Data is processed by Google and may be stored on servers outside the UK. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising
These scripts allow us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to show relevant ads to people who have shown an interest in MyGridTime. We do not use these for behavioural advertising without your explicit consent.
- Google Ads: conversion tracking to measure which campaigns lead to sign-ups. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): allows us to measure ad performance and build lookalike audiences on Meta's platforms. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
Managing your preferences
You can review and update your cookie preferences at any time using the "Manage cookie preferences" button above, or via the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. Your preferences are stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data will reset your preferences and you will be asked again on your next visit.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies (particularly Necessary ones) may affect how the site functions.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw consent for any optional cookie category at any time by clicking "Manage cookie preferences" above. Withdrawing consent will prevent those scripts from loading on future page loads, but it will not remove cookies already set during the current session. You can clear those directly from your browser settings.
Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate MyGridTime, including a payment processor, an SMS/messaging provider for alerts, and an analytics tool. Each third party is bound by appropriate data processing agreements and handles your data only as necessary to perform their service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or via the app before they take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
